Applications are now open for the Medical Innovation and Entrepreneurship Honors Track (MIEHT), an honors program designed to prepare medical students to become leaders in healthcare innovation.
The MIEHT program offers structured training in need identification, customer discovery, problem triaging, and iterative solution development. Through seminars, hands-on exploration, and mentorship, students gain practical experience in evaluating clinical challenges and advancing innovative concepts that can improve patient care and healthcare system efficiency.
Over the course of the program, students conduct customer discovery interviews, identify pain points during clinical rotations, and complete a capstone project that applies innovation and entrepreneurial principles to a real-world problem. Upon completion, students receive formal recognition of the honors track on their academic transcript.
Students interested in expanding their impact beyond clinical practice and contributing to the future of healthcare innovation should look for the official application announcement and submission timeline in upcoming BioVentures and departmental communications.
