BioVentures, in collaboration with the Division of Research and Innovation, is pleased to announce the upcoming Commercialization Retreat on May 5th, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. The event will take place in the Jo Ellen Ford Auditorium, located at the Donald W. Reynolds Institute on Aging. All UAMS faculty, staff, postdocs, and graduate students interested in the commercialization of UAMS discoveries are invited to join the event.
Speakers will include UAMS Chancellor Cam Patterson and UA Executive Director, Office of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Sarah Goforth.
The presentations during the retreat will focus on the importance of commercializing UAMS discoveries to advance patient treatments. Attendees will learn about how commercialization occurs in academia, as well as various funding mechanisms available for commercializing research and clinical innovations.
As a special incentive, the first 50 registrants will receive a complimentary copy of Research to Revenue: A Practical Guide to University Start-Ups by Don Rose & Cam Patterson.
