The BioVentures Podcast Celebrates Two Years

The BioVentures Podcast is celebrating two years of sharing the stories, ideas, and people driving innovation at UAMS and across Arkansas.

Hosted by Joe Schaffner, Outreach Coordinator, and Megan Reed, Senior Licensing Associate, the podcast was created to celebrate the BioVentures community while providing practical insights into technology transfer, entrepreneurship, and research commercialization for UAMS inventors and researchers.

Since launching in 2024, the podcast has released 20 episodes, featuring conversations with inventors, entrepreneurs, researchers, startup founders, and technology transfer professionals. The latest season welcomed guests including John Sherrill, Adria Abella Villafranca, Tristan Saunders, Zach Waldrip, John Arthur, Michael Geranen, Erica Malone, Blakely Coppock, Kevin Sexton, Marie Burdine, and Luna Acosta.

Over the past two years, listeners have explored topics ranging from invention development and intellectual property to startup creation, customer discovery, and research commercialization, all through conversations with the people helping bring innovation to life.

BioVentures extends its sincere thanks to Joe and Megan for hosting these conversations and to every guest who has shared their expertise and experiences with our community.

As we celebrate this milestone, we’re excited for another season of conversations highlighting the innovators, discoveries, and collaborations shaping the future of healthcare innovation.
