BioVentures recently welcomed the fourth cohort of participants in the Medical Innovation and Entrepreneurship Honors Track (MIEHT), a four-year honors program that introduces medical students to health care innovation, intellectual property and technology commercialization.
The newest cohort includes Nithin Reddy and Hogan Turner of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), along with Bryson Edwards of the UAMS Northwest Regional Campus.
Facilitated by Megan Reed, Ph.D., of BioVentures and Anthony Gunderman, Ph.D., of the University of Arkansas, MIEHT provides researchers, clinicians and trainees with foundational knowledge in health care innovation and the technology transfer process. Through educational sessions and practical guidance, participants learn how discoveries can advance through licensing, industry partnerships and startup formation to create real-world impact.
The program equips participants with the knowledge and resources needed to navigate the innovation ecosystem and better understand the path from discovery to commercialization. BioVentures looks forward to supporting this new cohort as they develop the skills to become the next generation of health care innovators.
