Applications Open for BioVentures’ CADET Program

BioVentures is now accepting applications for the next cohort of the Cancer and Developing Entrepreneurial Technologies (CADET) program, a year-long training experience designed to help graduate students and postdoctoral fellows develop skills in innovation, intellectual property, entrepreneurship, and commercialization. 

Applications are due Aug. 7, and the program begins Sept. 4

CADET provides participants with practical experience in the process of translating scientific discoveries into technologies that can improve patient care. Throughout the program, trainees explore topics including intellectual propertytechnology assessmentmarket analysisregulatory strategy, and commercialization while working alongside BioVentures staff and experienced mentors. 

The program is designed for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows interested in understanding how biomedical discoveries move beyond the laboratory. Whether participants are developing their own technology or simply want to gain experience in innovation and entrepreneurship, CADET offers exposure to the commercialization process through hands-on learning and mentorship. 

Participants also have opportunities to connect with researchers, entrepreneurs, technology transfer professionals, and industry leaders across Arkansas and beyond, providing valuable insight into careers in translational science and biomedical innovation.

  • Scientific communication and pitching 

Graduate students and postdoctoral fellows interested in participating are encouraged to apply before the Aug. 7 deadline.
